Maine Alpaca Association Open Farm Weekend
Oct. 6th & 7th 10 am - 4 pm
Oct. 27th & 28th 10 am - 4 pm

Come visit a family run alpaca farm at our 1846, 60 acre farm. Our son Joe will provide hay rides around our pastures to allow a close up look at our romping crias. We have visiting farms scheduled to bring their females for drive-by breedings to some of our herdsires. We have a farm store on premises with handspun, hand-knit and hand-woven items made from our alpacas for purchase. We also have Peruvian imported items, such as the very popular alpaca fur bears.

There are apples and pears in the orchard for picking, although the apples are not so great this year; they peaked too early and are not sweet enough. The pears are great, however. We had a family of five here this weekend who picked a couple of dozen buckets full. They plan to "put some up" and feed the rest to their pigs.

We ask that you please leave your dogs at home because Willie Nelson and Wynona (our Great Pyrenees livestock guard dogs) will be patrolling all day long. You may also get a peak at our very shy barn cats, Brooks and Dunn.
